Reversing Type 2 Diabetes: Te Ngako Oranga

Reversing Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is a 3-year HRC-funded research project that aims to change the way health care is delivered in NZ's primary care setting to individuals and communities with prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. The model of care is based on whole food carbohydrate reduction, a health coach approach, and includes supportive initiatives to allow for a sustained effect and community impact. We are a team of academics and clinicians trying to change a pharmaceutically driven health system towards lifestyle medicine.
